Road Safety Summer School 2023
The third edition of the Road Safety Summer School (RSSS) took place from August 28 to September 5, 2023, at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb. We are grateful for the generous support from our sponsors, who once again stepped forward to provide scholarships to the majority of our enthusiastic participants all eager to contribute to safer roads.
The 2023 RSSS program spanned a total of eight days, participants were introduced to the state-of-the-art findings related to the main factors of road safety: the human factor, the road and its environment and the vehicle factor. The final days of the program were dedicated to hands-on fieldwork, including crash tests and field inspections. This unique opportunity allowed participants to put into practice the extensive knowledge they had accumulated during the preceding theoretical sessions.
Throughout the program, participants were privileged to engage with a diverse array of viewpoints, thanks to lectures delivered by 30 experts from across the globe. These renowned individuals shared their extensive insights and experiences, fostering a dynamic learning environment that transcended geographical boundaries. In addition to the educational program, the Road Safety Summer School arranged cultural excursions, including a tour of the city of Zagreb and an trip to the Plitvice Lakes National Park.
The third edition of the Road Safety Summer School proudly welcomed 21 enthusiastic participants from 16 different countries. We are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to welcome new participants from around the world, united by a shared commitment to enhancing road safety worldwide.
